Break for the Net is an animated clip W. Scott Pattullo did in 2005 and runs for approximately 20 seconds.

The character is a hockey player. He steps on the puck while skating and ends up slipping on it, losing his balance, and slams into the boards.

The animation was done as a class assignment at the Academy of Art University in September 2005. The assignment (referred to as the "sports player animation") was to have a character involved in some sort of sporting event. The assignment lasted several weeks during the semester.

The animation never made it past the "pencil test" stage of production.

The animation was completely hand-drawn.
