Scott completed the piece on October 18, 2018. He uploaded it to his DeviantART page the same day.
Subject and title[]
Scott wanted to draw a series of comic covers as if the classic RPG Chrono Trigger was published in comic book form, each cover depicting the events in the game's story. (Scott played Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo.)
In this issue, the story would be:
...when the team escapes the Blackbird only to find that Dalton has added wings to the Epoch. Conversations with the survivors at the Last Village on the ground leads them to find Magus at the North Cape. Reluctantly, they allow Magus to join their party. They then begin their quest to bring Crono back to life.

Scott started out with a pencil sketch, then inked the final line work. He then scanned the drawing and added some digital work in Paint Shop Pro.
